Julie Behrens is an Imperial Beach mom, military spouse, small business owner, and dedicated volunteer. She is now running for City Council to improve the quality of life for Imperial Beach residents while bringing a fresh set of eyes to old problems. Amongst friends and neighbors, Julie is known for her creative entrepreneurial spirit, problem-solving skills, and willingness to collaborate. She hopes to bring these skills to our city chambers to find solutions to some of the infrastructure, safety, and congestion issues our city faces. Like so many Navy, her family came here to serve and decided never to leave.
Entrepreneur and Dedicated VolunteerIt is a privilege and an honor to be a member of this community, which is why I dedicate any time and resources that I can to supporting local causes. In 2015, I founded the Imperial Beach-based lifestyle blog, Every Good Woman, a platform I use to volunteer my resources to spotlight local businesses and promote the local economy. I strongly believe in supporting local businesses while preserving the quaintness of our city and our way of life. I am very invested in our community, and I currently volunteer with several non-profits in the Imperial Beach area as well as contribute by time and expertise to local Imperial Beach-based groups. By applying common sense principles and actively seeking the input of all Imperial Beach residents, I hope you’ll endorse me as your local city council member and advocate for your voice.
